We're actively growing the anime hobby market in Canada — from nationwide distribution to running large-scale events like Gundam Base Vancouver.
We currently have the following three positions open:
Buyer – China (Mandarin Required)
Work directly with manufacturers in China to source products, manage relationships, and support purchasing decisions. Mandarin fluency required. Prior industry experience preferred. Vancouver-based preferred, with limited flexibility depending on experience.
- Maintain close communication with suppliers and partners in China
- Identify product opportunities based on strong IP awareness and market trends
- Stay in tune with mainland market movements and emerging brands
Best suited for someone with strong IP recognition and a good sense of the China market “pulse.” Strong familiarity with anime, character IPs, and trends is highly valued.
Market Development / Sales
Identify and develop new business opportunities beyond traditional hobby channels, expanding into broader retail and new market segments. Build relationships, approach new targets, and present our product lines to drive growth.
- Reach out to non-hobby retailers and new distribution channels
- Develop partnerships across broader consumer markets
- Leverage existing relationships and industry connections where applicable
Ideal for someone with experience or connections in mass market or adjacent retail sectors. Experience working with or selling into larger retail groups is a strong plus.
Event Operations Coordinator
Set up and run booths at conventions and pop-up events, handling on-site operations, logistics, and customer interaction. This is a hands-on role requiring reliability, organization, and execution under pressure, with frequent travel to events.

- Manage on-site operations during events
- Support team coordination and customer engagement
Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and fast-paced environments.
